French Russian Law Society
The French Russian Law Society (Société Juridique Franco Russe (S.J.F.R.) ) was founded in Paris in 2003. Its objectives are the study, clarification and development of Russian and French law, both public and private.
The S.J.F.R. is a corporate association with about 300 members (including professors of law, former diplomates, attorney, lawyers and students of law). It has held conferences alone or in partnership with other organisations. The last conference was on the 17th of February, 2012 about the mutual recognition of judgments between EU States and the Russian Federation with 170 participants at the French Supreme Court. S.J.F.R. is now involved in a 600 participant event planned in Moscow 2013 about PPP in Russia with European Companies.
